When Janet contacted me to do a brother and sister session, she told me that they grew up going to Sears every year to get portraits done.

I immediately started brainstorming how to convey the sibling relationship in a modern way that was fun and lighthearted.

We got some traditional portrait shots.

We goofed off and recreated some schoolkid poses.

And then, tomfoolery, followed by chatting and counting how many vintage cars their uncle has (8, including a Model A and a Model T!).

I don’t have a brother, but I can’t imagine that leaf fights, thumb and arm wrestling weren’t formative cornerstones of every sibling relationship.
