Elizabeth and JD met in flight school. Yes, that’s right. In addition to being about a mile tall, stunningly gorgeous, and sweet and funny as can be, Elizabeth is also an Air Force pilot. I’m pretty sure they call that a triple threat.

This couple is out of town 200 + days a year, manning C-17′s all over the globe, so after a weather re-schedule, I was excited to have the privilege of meeting up with these great folks for a little walk around downtown.

They were engaged at the gazebo in White Point Gardens

Brooke contacted me to do her maternity portraits, and since I had only done one maternity session, for a friend back when I first started learning how to shoot with DSLR’s, I was excited to give it another spin.

Frankly I’m surprised she had to Google for a photographer; that baby magazines weren’t banging down her door looking to shoot her for a feature. Gorgeous, I tell you. She must have been flying under the radar.

Of course, I’m so behind with blogging that Brooke and Chris’s precious baby girl, Ellie Brooke, is going into the 3rd grade.

OK, I kid, she’s still an infant. An absolutely precious, good-lookin’ one, (I know this because of Facebook photos. Where would I be without FB to keep track of all my friends and clients?) just like her mother and father.

Rebecca is the sister of my lovely friend Bridgit at McBee Photography .

Like me, Bridgit is a film hobbyist/nerd, and she taught me how to use the twin lens reflex camera I bought recently.

I was honored to be asked to photograph her sister’s wedding, and when I was told the location, I swooned. The Wentworth Mansion  is filled from cupola to gardens with lovely light. Add a lovely couple, and it’s not a bad way to spend an evening.

Sara was so funny. When we talked to arrange her Charleston engagement session, she kept offering to pay me more since she wanted to take her grandfather’s boat out to the Morris Island Lighthouse and take photos there for part of the session.

I assured her that I will never feel the need to charge extra if someone offers to take me on a short, relaxing, breezy, dolphin-filled spin through the Lowcountry waters.   :)

Sara and Eric live in Tennessee, but she’s from Charleston, and wanted to return to her hometown to have their engagement photos taken at her favorite place in the world: her grandfather’s house on the water.

Finn’s family came to Folly Beach for vacation this summer.  He’s ridiculously cute, and he owned his photo shoot. His mother told me she wanted vintage modern photojournalism, and I can see why. Finn has a dapper sort of look that really lends itself to that style.

And we went up to the Folly Beach Pier

And shortly thereafter, little guy indicated that it was a wrap. :)
